Lavender

Took a late afternoon break from work yesterday to photograph the lavender in my garden. The smell and the light/colors/shapes/textures were very soothing and interesting to me. Trying to capture so many elements seemed like a good exercise in visual expression and learning how to use the camera. I don't think I really captured the experience, but I suppose it's good to keep a record so I can chart my progress.

Oh, and I was apparently not the only one insprired by the environs...
